You're all not paying attention to the dry humor that is delivered so naturally by the cast.

For example, when Fabious asks Thaddeus to kiss the wise wizard and Danny goes "Fuck no" I nearly choked on the juice I was drinkin.

Another gem is when Belladonna comes walking down the aisle singing in her sweet melodic voice and then Fabious gets on one knee and starts singin in the worst voice ever. Hahaa. I bring that scenario up with my friend all the time and we laugh our asses off.

As for the crude moments coming up at the wrong moments, I completely disagree. It's hilarious when Thadeous starts pinching the dismembered monster cock in front of Natalie Portman's character.

Critics don't matter. Why do people give you respect? Give me one good reason why critics are necessary?
Anyway, being that you DO exist and probably aren't going to become extinct anytime soon, I suggest you narrow down the genre of movies you review because it seems like you've lost the ability to enjoy a dumb comedy. Your overthinking is probably better suited for more serious films like "The Master" which I hear is exceptional.Judah Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07805615091558012375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2754356885881273270.post-69274429285125221332012-03-01T19:54:44.110-05:002012-03-01T19:54:44.110-05:00I never saw this film in theaters, but I watched i...I never saw this film in theaters, but I watched it on HBO’s page on DISH online earlier this week. I was not impressed, I agree that the movie seemed disjointed, and I fell that it was McBride that was disjointing it. While Franco and Portman seemed to make it very humorous, to me it seemed like McBride was just there to dry heave toilet humor at some point in every scene. I think if you would have replaced McBride with someone that wasn’t going to try so hard at sucking this movie would have been hilarious, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Even the movie nerd that I work with at DISH that watches every movie ever made didn’t like this movie, usually he is all about McBride movies especially Pineapple Express.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2754356885881273270.post-28433742261136113702011-09-27T09:08:27.582-04:002011-09-27T09:08:27.582-04:00I thought I was alone on this one, but this is exa...I thought I was alone on this one, but this is exactly how I felt about this movie. I thought it was not as funny as it was trying to be.

I kind of agree with you that had I seen this when I was a teen I would have probably laughed my ass off, but you know what, I have seen many films aimed at teens and enjoyed them, so maybe it's just that the film is bad.

And it's so sad to, such a cast, such talent in front and behind the camaras...and as you said, the effects werent bad at all, sadly, the film was disjointed somehow.

Even the actors seem to realize this wasnt working, you can see it in their faces. I just hope this isnt the death of Danny McBride.Franco Macabrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10994905312221715861noreply@blogger.com
