Now ...Fantastic review for a fantastic flick, mate. Now I don't get into political flicks at all - hate 'em, can't get into 'em, but IDES OF MARCH sucked me in nearly from the get go. The political mumbo jumbo of the first 20 minutes left me with a few "???" until the story got going, and it was a relentless ride from then on to the end. <br /><br />I completely agree about Clooney, Gosling and Evan Rachel Wood. All tremendous. I also agree about Giamatti and Hoffman to an extent. More out of my distaste for Hoffman in how he seems to mumble his lines, I wouldn't mind his role marginalized, but I think both characters got enough screentime to fulfill their parts of the script.
